We’re Not Citizens. Are We Americans?

We came to the U.S. when we were 8 & 9. 🇺🇸
By now, we’ve spent more than half of our lives here.

We work. 💼 We pay taxes. 💵 We follow all rules citizens have to follow.

Our father is a U.S. marine. 🎖️
His favorite holiday is 4th of July btw (surprise surprise right? 🎆).

Unfortunately, despite following the proper application process, we have yet to get our citizenship. 🧾
And lack of a citizenship comes with its own hurdles. ⚠️

It’s actually way harder to get than many people think — even with adoption, even with marriage.
It’s been YEARS for us with very little progress and a lot of $$ spent on attorneys and legal filing fees. 💸

Here’s a processing time example for just 1 form — and with an application, you have way more than 1. 🗂️

We are so grateful regardless. 🙏
There is no better country to pursue quite literally anything you want. 💫
The freedoms are unmatched. 🗽

Even if we can’t travel outside it.
Or have to renew IDs way more often than citizens do. 📑

Something we have learned by spending the better halves of our lives in the U.S., is that America doesn’t live in a piece of paper, a passport, or an ID.

It lives in the mind. 🧠

You will see people that don’t have citizenship appreciating everything the U.S. has to give way more than some people that do. ❤️

1. Which jobs are least likely to get replaced by AI in the near future? 

Physical labor that requires expertise, dexterity. Something that can’t be easily done by a computer program. We’ll get there one day, but for now, construction workers are pretty safe.

2. So who occupies most of those jobs?

Men.

Some women too, but most women like their office space & A/C. 

Wait, so you’re telling us that the reason that women are more likely to get replaced by AI isn’t because men hate women 🤯?!

It’s because the fields that are harder to replace with AI are dominated by men.

Not just cause some higher-ups want to replace females with AI in their companies and just leave the bros. 

Throughout evolution, it just wasn’t natural for women to dominate hard-physical-labor fields 🤷🏻‍♀️

A TEE SISTER LESSON

Even though there are always more people that can see 👀 your ad, you can’t keep milk the same ad forever

We’ve had some ads that have performed REALLY well for us.

But despite there being more people that can see it, they plateaued 😕

& we started bleeding money 💸 into nothing again.

So we went to TOWN and made a bunch more ads.

Here’s one of them!

Before we can launch them, we realized we need to fill up & clean up house 😮‍💨.

We need way more apparel. And to hone down on creative designs.

Until we do that, there’s no point of running the ads we made.
