A LITTLE TEE SISTERS STORY

Markers to Needles

In the '70s it was cocaine, in the '90s marijuana—nowadays it's tattoos.

We remember sitting in elementary school, meticulously painting tiny flowers on each other’s arms, not realizing markers were the gateway drug to permanent ink. Oops.

But stay with us-there’s a method to our madness! Remember that Tinker Bell movie, where two sisters are born from the same dandelion puff?

Inspired by the film we got matching dandelion tattoos. I know, I know... we'll probably never get hired.

But hear us out again! Did you know that 23% of Gen Z and a whopping 41% of Millennials proudly sport tattoos in the US? Tattoos are becoming more and more common and thus more accepted in the workplace due to their popularity.

(Though we’re not advocating for face tats or anything)

Plus, we put a lot of thought into the tattoo. It’s beautiful and we took great care in choosing an exceptionally talented artist.

So here it is—the ink that binds us. And honestly? We absolutely love it.

HOT TOPIC

The Man Even Death Can’t Catch

Have you ever heard the saying, “Age is just a number"? Well, this man is living proof.

Known as the "Turban Tornado," Fauja Singh astonishingly completed the London Marathon at 100 years old, finishing in 6 hours and 54 minutes. But to define him solely by this feat would be a disservice.

Fauja Singh has also conquered marathons in New York, Toronto, and Mumbai—all after turning 100.

Remarkably, before becoming a global inspiration, he led a relatively ordinary life as a farmer in Punjab. His childhood was challenging with him not being able to properly walk until he was 5 due to his thin legs, and he didn't even start running professionally until the impressive age of 89.

And if you're wondering—yes, he's still alive today, now at the remarkable age of 114. Throughout his life, Singh has witnessed numerous historical milestones and, undoubtedly, created some history of his own.

His journey is a powerful reminder that it's never too late to begin something new.

Need more inspiration?

Colonel Sanders didn’t create the first KFC until he was in his mid-60s.

Charles Darwin published "On the Origin of Species" at age 50

Laura Ingalls Wilder didn’t start writing "Little House on the Prairie" until she was 65.

Ultimately - age is just a construct made by us. As Francis Bacon said, "I will never be an old man. To me, old age is always 15 years older than I am."

A TEE SISTER LESSON

Advertising is an Experiment

Advertising is an experiment, you never know what people are going to like. We've spent an hour on one ad (pictured below) picking the right colors, fonts, words, and more—only to later discover a simple Canva template that performs much better.

An Ad that DIDNT Work

With marketing, there's nothing wrong with simplicity or going all out, because that’s how you explore your target audience.

We found you, our reader, because we created something specifically appealing to you: intrigue, stories, and useful tips just like this one delivered through a minimalistic FaceBook post.

Here's the true secret to advertising: patience.

It takes time to test what resonates and even more time to see real results.

Most products have people who want them—you just need to discover how to reach them.

For example, on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), it's most effective to target users through eye-catching imagery with minimal text. This ensures your ad blends naturally into their feed just like regular content.

On Google Ads, however, it's all about keywords.

Is Mother's Day approaching? Great—on your shirt ads, include phrases like "Top gift for your mom", and then simply wait for the magic to happen.

But still-even after testing and learning we’ve discovered it’s a lot of throwing spaghetti at a wall. You keep going until something sticks.
